Denise Rabe has been a defining force in Berlin’s techno landscape for over a decade. She began DJing at the age of 16, first on vinyl and with roots in hip-hop, drum & bass, and house, before moving to Berlin in 2011 and developing her own unmistakable techno language.
Her artistic signature lies in hypnotic, shadowy grooves, a balance of industrial intensity and atmospheric depth, delivered with a distinct and uncompromising aesthetic. This sound has taken her across the globe, with performances throughout Europe, the US, and Asia, including sets at iconic institutions such as Berghain and Tresor.
On the production side, Rabe made her debut in 2015 with a release on Mutewax, followed by pivotal records on ARTS. In 2017 she founded her own imprint Rabe, a platform where she curates a cohesive vision of sound, artwork, and concept, collaborating with artists like Rrose, Reeko, Ricardo Garduno, and Headless Horseman. A major milestone came with her acclaimed “Manifesto” EP on Stroboscopic Artefacts (2019). More recently, she has expanded her profile with releases on Bpitch, 47 and Soma, underlining a steady trajectory of growth and evolution.
Her debut album Transition, released on the 30DROPS label in November 2025, presents Denise Rabe’s distinctive musical language, refined over years of focused development. Spanning a cinematic one-hour arc, the record unfolds as a deep, emotional journey, guiding the listener with restraint, tension, and narrative clarity rather than club functionality alone.
Today, Denise Rabe continues to develop her sound with a steady, deliberate trajectory. Her work remains grounded, meticulous, and resistant to trends, reflecting an artist deeply connected to the physical, emotional, and cultural power of techno – on the dancefloor and in recorded form.
